This last weekend, February 5th Timber Mill Acres hosted a bridal event featuring local wedding vendors at their barn. The Peach barn at Timber Mills is located in Tifton, GA, 45 minutes North of Valdosta.
From their website: "The Peach Barn features over 5,700 square feet of rustic charm and old world elegance. It sits on beautiful Lake Garvey, a 40+ acre lake nestled among South Georgia pines."
They are open for a variety of events, including weddings, dinners, gatherings, corporate events, reunions and more. As the name states, the main building is a barn, the barn has a rustic and elegant look to it with unfinished wood, tin roof and beautiful chandeliers! The space also hosts 3 outdoor locations for wedding ceremonies including two by the lake and one chapel by the barn.
There were plenty of refreshments and very good food served by the caterers present as well as cake and cookies! Who doesn't love cake and cookies? (and they were the most beautiful ones too!!!) Cynthia's Catering had the MOST delicious pimento cheese and you must try it!
Among the vendors were cake decorators, photographers, makeup artists, wedding decor and registry as well as DJ and videography by After Hours Productions. The event also featured a giveaway for a FREE wedding package at Timber Mills! Other vendors also offered discounts and specials throughout the event for couples who decided to book on the spot.
The first person I met was Janna, from Janna Banana's Sweet Treats and she makes the most darling cookies! Aren't they too pretty to eat? (Yeah, I ate them.)
Seriously, these are just so pretty!
Jessie's Catering also made an appearance with sampling of S'mores, yum!
Cynthia's Catering was the one I ate the most, I am a huge fan of pimento cheese, so when she said they had a family recipe I had to try and I kept coming back for more (I would've taken a whole tub home if I could haha no joke! They were that good! Pictured below with their adorable assistant!
Simply Southern Catering + Eats was the last catering service at the fair and their presentation was stunning as well as really good food!
Is it time for cake yet? Yes, yes it is! I am not a big fan of sweets in general, but I do love me some dessert! Up next
Marie's Kakes had not just cake, she had cupcakes and cookies or sampling as well. I love how simple and elegant that wedding cake is, it can easily be customized with any color.
Kimberly's Cupcakes & more also had cupcakes, they were pretty and she was such a joy to meet!
Next up Yes, it's cake! No, that's the name of her company, isn't it clever? I believe it's because some people might not have believed such artsy pieces were real cakes. Teresa's cakes were STUNNING as you can see below, all the florals are also handmade and edible. She also had cotton candy (say what?) she had me at cotton candy!
But really the best sweet thing I ate was her blackberry buttercream frosting with a chocolate layer on her cake sampling. Oh she was also so sweet and such a delight to talk to!
I mean, all handmade and edible? Yes, it's cake!
EVENT COORDINATOR, REGISTRY, MAKEUP & WEDDING RENTALS
Southern Elegance was the only company I spoke to that was offering event coordination services at the barn, their setup was really cute with pearls and satin.
Annie's Place Gift Shoppe offered registry services, and they had gorgeous place settings, flutes and home decor items. I love china and I loved all of their pieces, they were so classy and pretty, I wish I could just take them all home!
The last vendor in the category was The Southern Station, they brought different colors of table cloths, but they go beyond that. Judy was very kind and sweet! Make sure to consider her for your wedding needs, they also serve parts of Florida.
Hair and Makeup by Danyelle were one of the two makeup artists at the event, the two beauties were wearing beautiful makeup and they were a delight to meet and they even posed for my picture! Most people ran away when I asked them if I could take pictures, so thanks for posing, Danyelle!
Adeana is the makeup artists behind Makeup by Adeana and the, her work is also flawless and she doubles as a photographer for Lavish Boudoir, more to come on lavish on the section below. Message her for your wedding makeup needs! Or boudoir, or both! I had a mini boudoir done for my wedding and I loved it!
I saved the best for last, yes I am biased, yes I love photography, but I do think photography is one the most important parts of the wedding! You put so much effort into picking your beautiful dress, every little detail, your venue, your food and your decorations, you deserve to have it all captured to look back on! You will be so busy on your wedding day, you won't be able to see everything, having a photographer ensures not only all of your details are captured beautifully, you will also get great images of your guests having a blast even if you weren't right there!
For something more than just a wedding photographer, as mentioned above, Adeana is the girl behind Lavish Boudoir, they are a great groom gift but also a gift to yourself! I love boudoir and I have even photographed boudoir myself, keep it in mind if you'd like to surprise your groom with a gift he will never want to forget.
K. Kelley Photography was the first I met, she specializes in children families and weddings, she was a sweetheart and talented too! Check our her wedding galleries on her website, they're stunning!
Next up is Dani from Dani Marie Photography, not only her work is gorgeous, her table setting was beautiful mix of woody, lace , gold and green, it definitely was one of my favorites! She does amazing work as a photographer and you should most definitely consider her for your wedding day. Oh, she's also really nice and personable.
Last but not least, Sarah Brooke Photography, I LOVE her work! She is a recent addition to our area, she came from Mississippi last year and she is now (lucky us) photographing in South Georgia. Her display was also one of my favorites of them all, everything was so pretty and cohesive. Make sure to drop by her website and take a peek at her work, her style reminds me of film and it's beautiful!
At the end of the show, brides and grooms gathered on the main hall for the awesome drawing of a free wedding package at Timber Mills Acres in the value of $4500!
That's us! My super sweet husband doubling as my camera bag carrier and taste tester! He ate a lot more than I did and he said from now on, he wants to tag along everywhere so he can eat! So silly, I know, but don't worry, he's just joking.
That concludes this event, we had a great time meeting everyone and I am glad I got to capture the vendors and the day while eating some cake and pimento cheese in the process, win!
Make sure to check out some of these good folks for your wedding day, guys!
