So you want all of those beautiful curated details you see on wedding magazines and everyone else's blog posts and you find yourself drooling over those images? Then you may want to keep reading!
Some brides know exactly what they want and have their theme planned out to the minimal details, while others have NO clue where to start and how everything goes together because they like so many different things! You may think you don't care at all, and no matter what type of bride you are, at the end of the day, cohesiveness is something that I strive for as a photographer every day. On every location, every couple, family or headshot session, but especially, WEDDINGS!
If you are a CG Bride, you KNOW that I will be looking to create a theme, and a cohesive look to add to your wedding day details, which is also why it is SO important to have them all ready to go and be photographed AT THE SAME TIME, not only it will all flow much easier with the timeline, the images will benefit a lot from being photographed in the same setting, background AND light!
The details are what make the whole wedding come together so beautifully, and an easy way to achieve cohesiveness is by using color, you know, invitations, florals , shoes, bridesmaids dresses, if they are all of the same color, you're already half way there. Other ways to incorporate cohesiveness is by using textures and patterns, like polka dot socks, striped ties and lace or burlap.
When I start the day with the bridal details (rings, jewelry, dress, shoes, something borrowed, blue etc) that is what makes the first few spreads of your wedding album! Do you get how important they are now? I ABSOLUTELY love when brides not only have a little "photographer" bag with all of the pretty bling, but they also threw in some "random" items they liked but weren't sure what to do with (like lace ribbon spools, a handkerchief, a custom ring box or some greenery that is leftover from the bouquet or wedding decor.
What type of bride are YOU?
