Welcome to the blog!

Hi there, I am Cat and I am so thrilled you stopped by! I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Valdosta, Georgia (soon to be Maryland!), where I live with my sweet husband and our crazy rescue pup, JJ.

I am a perpetual traveler, champagne-loving red lipstick-wearer with a passion for telling stories through images, food and travel.

I hope you enjoy  viewing my latest work and getting a little peek into my life. Make yourself at home!

This adorable engagement session is opening the Summer down here! We are so lucky the rain let off! We had horrible gloomy weather lately that seemed would never go away. But it’s the weather and the only certain thing about it is that it always changes!

We had a beautiful sunset for their sweet engagement. I love their location choice, Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, Georgia has a huge gorgeous main house which is also a museum, there was no shortage of beautiful places to get pictures at, so much so that we ended up doing way more locations than I normally do, but we also had a lot more time to chat, get to know each other and have some fun! Now to their sweet story and the proposal! Having met my own husband on totally random circumstances, their story make me think that some things do feel like they’re meant to happen.

Brooke’s coworkers made her a profile on Plenty of Fish and Brooke kept it for maybe 3 or 4 hours and tried to delete it, but the app wouldn’t let her, she had to keep it for 12 hours before deleting the profile, and as she was going to delete it, Matthew messaged her! They talked nonstop for days and decided to meet. From there, everything started to fall into place for them.

They have been engaged for about 8 months now. Matthew works for the sheriff's office in Thomasville and one day, while Brooke was on a ride along with him, he “got an alarm call” to Pebble Hill Plantation. Once they got out there, he called her to the courtyard (the one towards the end of the post). She had no clue why he would be asking her to come and she had no idea what was going on.

They had had a wedding there earlier on the same day and the lights were on and the dance floor was still down. Once he got her out there, music started to play, the lights in the trees faded and while she was looking the other way, he was behind her on one knee and asks her to marry him! I couldn’t help but go “aaaaaw” as I was reading it, it still feels like someone is describing a gorgeous scene from a romantic movie! Now to my favorite images of our session together! Can’t wait for their wedding day to arrive! I hope you enjoy these!
