This last weekend in September I joined Amanda and David's family to document their sweet and heartfelt ceremony! They held it at the Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown, Washington DC. The Church is gorgeous as you can see, and when the rain came to say hello, the porch by their entrance was our saving grace.
Amanda wanted to make sure her grandpa had a chance to walk her down the aisle, and that just melts my heart, because neither of my grandpas were able to see me get married. Their ceremony was intimate and filled with just the closest of friends and their sweet family, they included blessings over those who are going through difficulties and prayers for those who couldn't be here, and I have to admit, I had to fight back some tears. Their family present was fun and joyful and you could tell how much this coupe meant to them!
After their ceremony we were faced with the inevitable rain and it was a challenge to find another good spot that didn't include heavy traffic, but at the end, I am glad out original plan B location didn't work, because we found something every prettier and with amazing light! To anyone else getting married and afraid of rain, don't be, we can still create amazing portraits with the right light!
Thank you Amanda and David for allowing me to share your story, to document such a special day in your lives; I wish you all the best and many years of happiness! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
